Sunrise announces the launch of cutting edge equity research
London, 31 October 2012 – Sunrise Brokers announces the launch of the cutting edge equity research product, Convergence Analytics.
Sunrise’s innovative research sets the firm apart from the competitive sell-side landscape according to Steven Cress. Cress, who for many years ran a global proprietary trading desk at Morgan Stanley, said, “Sunrise will utilise the convergence analytics approach as the foundation to our research process. Our independent research is the fusion of quantitative, technical and fundamental analysis.” Leading the European quantitative effort is Denis Kan, PhD who was formerly with RBS as a Senior Quantitative Analyst. The technical research effort will be spearheaded by prominent Technical Strategist Brenda Sullivan.
The research product will be supported by our equity sales and trading team and we are excited to announce that Daryl Bowden will be joining Sunrise to help build our client network. Previously Daryl held roles including a CEO at a global interdealer broker, Founding Partner at stockbroker Execution, and Head of Sales Trading at Merrill Lynch. Daryl will be helped by an experienced and renowned team, including Mark Gamble, who is leading the Nordic sales and trading effort. Mark has covered the Scandi/Nordic region for the majority of his career at both Morgan Stanley and Citibank. Mark said, “The Sunrise research product is perfectly suited for the Scandinavian client base which is one of the most sophisticated in employing blended research analytics”.
Claude Amar, CEO, said: “This has been a great year for Sunrise. In addition to launching a leading edge equity research product, we are very pleased to have been voted best broker by our clients for Derivatives for the sixth consecutive year. This award highlights the quality of our service and we are looking forward to providing the same level of value to our cash equity clients.”
